PolyOne Corp. has acquired IQAP Masterbatch Group S.L., a Spanish provider of specialty colorants and additives to customers throughout Europe.
Avon Lake-based PolyOne, a global provider of specialized polymer materials, services and solutions, and IQAP share a focus on the transportation, packaging, consumer, wire and cable, and textiles sectors. The deal brings with it IQAP’s two production facilities and a technology lab in Spain, as well as manufacturing capability in the Czech Republic.
“The end markets that IQAP serves are perfectly aligned with areas PolyOne knows very well, and together we will advance the possibilities for our European customers working to meet demanding new standards for design, functionality and performance," PolyOne CEO Robert M. Patterson said in a statement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
