- Chase Properties, a fully integrated real estate investment manager focused on best-in-class assets in smaller markets throughout the U.S. — where it operates more than 7 million square feet of retail real estate in 18 states — that is currently investing its fourth fund

The Riverside Company
Together with Béla Szigethy, Stewart Kohl oversees all aspects of Riverside’s activities. He has more than 30 years of private equity investing experience. Prior to Riverside, he was a Vice President at Citicorp Venture Capital, the private equity arm of Citibank. In addition to his work with Riverside, he serves on the following boards of trustees: Oberlin College (Honorary), the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland and the Cleveland Clinic. Mr. Kohl holds a BA from Oberlin College.
Ray is the founding CEO of JumpStart Inc. a Cleveland, Ohio-based non-profit venture development organization that has gained a national best-in-class reputation for its innovative economic development models and its ability to leverage its experience and expertise across the U.S.
Ray is considered a national thought and practice leader at the intersection of public, private and philanthropic partnerships accelerating private-sector investment capital, job creation and increasing inclusive economic outcomes in neighborhoods, cities, states and regions.
For the past twenty years, Adam Kaufman has been serving, calling on, and marketing to many of the most successful and influential leaders in the U.S. and abroad. He has earned the trust of CEOs, investors, entrepreneurs, policy makers, and nonprofit leaders. This professional life has created a platform from which he has been able to observe the most effective leaders and what motivates these accomplished people of influence: their leadership styles, their challenges, their worries, and their motivations.
Adam has been an advisor to JumpStart’s CEO and President for five years and is a partner in Palo Alto-based Ovo Fund, a seed-stage venture fund. Adam also serves as the Carol A. Melton Executive-in-Residence at Washington, D.C.-based PathNorth. He loves helping leaders grow their companies and is a board member of South Dakota-based Biltmore Trust Company and an advisor and board member to several entrepreneurs.
Stuart founded Chase Properties in 1973 with a partner who retired from the business in 2000. Stuart has devoted substantially his entire professional career to the acquisition and development of shopping centers. Stuart is also past Chairman of the Board of Ohio Commerce Bank. He has served in leadership roles on numerous non-profit Boards, including Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio (Board Chair), Jewish Federation of Cleveland (Chair of the Finance & Investment Committee), Shaker Heights Youth Center (President), and Oakwood Club (President). He is a member of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and Chairs the Board of UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital.
Andrew oversees the Chase Properties’ acquisitions, dispositions and development programs. Prior to joining Chase in 2002, Andy was with Heitman Capital Management in Chicago, where he was involved in identifying and evaluating real estate acquisition and joint venture opportunities for Heitman’s institutional pension fund clients. He began his career with Security Capital Group, where he analyzed public real estate securities.
Yoel is a Co-CEO of Chase Properties and the Kline family office where he is focused on real estate investment. Previously, Yoel was a Managing Director in the Equity Derivatives group of Commerzbank.
Yoel began his career as an Index Derivatives Trader at Bankers Trust. Yoel serves on the board of the Ohio State Teachers Retirement System and serves on their investment committee. He is a graduate of Yeshiva University’s Sy Syms School of Business with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
