Andrew Canniff

Andrew is a seasoned commercial vertical construction executive with 15+ years of diverse experience in the leadership, business development, pre-construction, cost estimating, project management, and site supervision fields of the Subcontractor/General Contracting industry. As a construction and business development executive, Andrew has overseen the continued growth and management of $600mm+ P&L’s in several urban infill markets for one of the largest commercial general contracting firms in the country.

Currently, Andrew serves as President/CEO of Boston Fire Sprinkler and Plumbing Company, a full service union mechanical firm which operates throughout New England. Andrew co-sponsored the acquisition of Boston Fire Sprinkler and Plumbing Company 4 years ago.

Prior to BFSP, Andrew served as a Senior Project Manager for Suffolk Construction in Boston, MA and oversees multiple large scale commercial construction projects in the Boston, Florida, and Big Sky-Montana Markets. Suffolk Construction, based in Boston, MA, is one of the top 20 largest Commercial General Contractors in the country with revenues in excess of $5bn annually. Prior to his move back to Boston, Andrew served as the Director of Preconstruction/Business Development for Suffolk Construction in Northern California where he helped grow the revenue of the office from $150mm to $600mm.  During his three year tenure in the Bay Area, Andrew successfully led several $200mm+ pursuits including 1629 Market and The Chicken Ranch Casino projects. Andrew was voted 40 Under 40 in San Francisco in 2019.

Andrew graduated Cum Laude from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Civil Engineering – with concentrations in Structural Engineering and Project Management. At WPI, Drew served as a Captain for the Varsity Football Team. Mr. Canniff also holds an Unlimited General B Construction License in the State of Nevada. Finally, Mr. Canniff was on the National Board of Directors for The Giving Circle Charity and a member of The Guardsmen Organization, a philanthropic group which supports underprivileged youth.
