Inside the Buyer’s Mind: How Strategic, Sponsor, and PE Acquirers Win Deals

Presented By: Bass, Berry & Sims PLC

Not all buyers approach acquisitions the same way. Strategic corporate acquirers, independent sponsors, and private equity firms bring different priorities, structures, and value-creation strategies to the table. In this buy-side–focused session, hear directly from each buyer type — including a large family-owned strategic acquirer — on how they evaluate opportunities, structure deals, and work with sellers. Learn what founders and family business owners can expect from each buyer, and how other acquirers can apply these lessons to compete more effectively in today’s market.
