Fred joined Harbor Investment Advisory is 2014 as President and a Managing Principal.

As President, Fred works closely with our COO & CFO in creating, communicating, and implementing Harbor’s vision, mission, and overall direction. Fred’s priority is to be a business partner to our advisors and help them better serve their clients by developing their competencies and operating more efficient practices.

Fred started his career as a Financial Advisor with Shearson Lehman Brothers in 1987. Since 1992, he held various management positions within the organization and its successor firms. By 2004, Fred was a Managing Director with Smith Barney with oversight of Operations, Risk, Administration and Revenue at the Complex and Branch office levels. These assignments covered businesses ranging in size from $7 million in revenues with 50 employees to $160 million in revenues with 300 employees. From 2011 to 2013, Fred served on the Branch Manager Advisory Council to senior management within Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Fred has been recognized by On Wall Street magazine as one of the top 100 Branch Managers in the Industry for 5 consecutive years.

Over the past three decades, Fred’s experience as both a Financial Advisor and in Management, have allowed him to gain invaluable experience and competency in addressing the vast array of wealth planning and investment management challenges faced by wealthy families.

This can involve everything from collecting and analyzing data to facilitating strategies that support high growth to helping management teams focus on what matters most.

Prior to joining Frontier, Christopher led multiple growth-stage B2B software companies serving a variety of end markets. All these companies were backed by private equity and/or venture capital. He's led several M&A transactions over the course of his career.

Jennifer Jones is CEO of the Howard County Economic Development Authority (HCEDA), where she leads initiatives that support business growth, innovation, and investment, strengthening Howard County’s position as a leading technology and business hub. She brings more than 20 years of experience in economic development, corporate strategy, and finance across the public and private sectors.

John Malone is a dynamic, resourceful and highly effective business leader and visionary, with a record of driving rapid, profitable organizational growth and delivering significant value creation for all stakeholders. Mr. Malone has spent five years as an Independent Director of a NYSE company, a combined 12 years as the Executive Chairman, CEO and/or Founder of four venture backed software companies, and 5 years as a mentor and executive coach to 18 CEOs with businesses ranging from in excess of $500M annual revenue down to $5M/year.

Mr. Malone is currently an active independent board member of Amber Road Inc., a publicly held company (AMBR on NYSE) and a category leader in SaaS based Global Trade Management solutions. Amber’s platform delivers automation to import and export processes enabling the effective and efficient flow of goods across international borders. John was a Director-Designee through the IPO process and joined the board in April 2014, upon its successful IPO and serves on its Compensation Committee and Audit Committee.

John is also currently Chairman of a CEO Peer Group Advisory Board for Vistage International, the world’s foremost chief executive leadership organization, where he facilitates and coaches groups and individual leaders providing access to new ideas and fresh thinking to Chief Executive Officers.
