Scot manages the firm’s corporate, M&A, private equity, securities and tax practices, and is also the head of the cannabis group, which consists of more than 40 attorneys throughout the U.S. and Canada. He has extensive experience in corporate, mergers and acquisitions and tax law and has served as lead counsel in mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, private offerings, venture capital financings, mezzanine debt offerings, divestitures and other related financial transactions, in a number of industry sectors, including the cannabis industry.

Walt Eckert, CPA, CVA is a Director in the Columbus, Ohio tax practice.
Walt brings 22 years of experience in analysis, planning, and preparation for tax clients. Additionally, he specializes in litigation support services with respect to valuation of privately held businesses and is a Certified Valuation Analyst.
Prior to Blue & Co., Walt was a shareholder with Russell, Eckert, Mealer & Kalb CPAs where he was responsible for growing its tax and consulting practice for closely-held businesses. Walt is a graduate of Miami University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Additionally, Walt is an active member with the Ohio Society of CPAs where he currently serves on the Government Affairs Advisory Council and is the treasurer of the board of the Columbus Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals.
