Dr. Brian Dooreck is a board-certified physician specializing in gastroenterology and hepatology who leads Executive Health Navigation. The firm helps high-net-worth individuals and those in the c-suite ensure they and their family have unmatched accessibility, support and navigation to the best doctors — in the U.S. and around the world.
In this conversation, Dr. Dooreck talks about what it is that he saw throughout his career that led him to launch the business, why integrated health planning is a must for family offices and wealth managers, and what CEOs tend to ignore about their health and what should they do about it.
Here’s an excerpt:
“What do you get from your leadership team, on a good week, of their maximum potential? Sixty, 70, 80 percent on a good week?” Dooreck says. “Or what do you get when they're dealing with their wife's breast cancer or their kids seizures and they can't get into a pediatric neurologist for three months, or their dad's having dementia issues or prostate cancer concerns and he's in LA and you're in New York? You're coming in and giving 40 percent that week of your potential. So, presenteeism is the other piece.”
