Commerce-based Nuspire is acquiring Denver’s GBprotect in a combination of managed security services providers. Terms were not disclosed

The acquisition of GBprotect and its SOC integration will enhance Nuspire’s response team, supporting delivery across customer gateway, network and endpoint ecosystems.

“Tools alone simply can’t combat the complex threats enterprise and mid-sized businesses face,” Nuspire CEO Saylor Frase said in a statement. “Advanced threat response requires a combination of technology, human analysis and threat intelligence. This merger reinforces our commitment to a security approach that scales with our customers’ needs, providing unmatched Security Operations Center service delivery and around-the-clock threat monitoring.”

In 2016, Antares Capital provided $35 million to support Boston-based ABRY Partners’ acquisition of Nuspire in a move to drive the company’s continued growth.
