Duolingo Inc. recently raised an additional $10 million in venture funding from undisclosed investors, according to PitchBook. This brings the total funding raised to date for the Pittsburgh-headquartered developer of a language-learning platform to $148.3 million.
The Carnegie Mellon University spin out was valued at $1.5 billion as of November 2019.
Duolingo’s platform, designed to feel like a game, is scientifically proven to be effective, which allows the user to learn different languages.
