Maitri Medicinals LLC, a Pittsburgh medical marijuana company, has raised nearly $7 million in funding from angel investors, according to an SEC filing.

The $6,875,000 raised will reportedly go to establishing additional dispensaries, an indoor growing facility and the relocation of its headquarters.

According to the company’s website, Maitri opened its Uniontown dispensary in 2018, and followed with a Pittsburgh dispensary that it opened on Jan. 26. Its founders, CEO Corinne Ogrodnik and COO Joseph Vesely, are third-generation Southwestern Pennsylvania residents.
