ALung Technologies Inc. has raised $16.25 million in venture funding from Audrey’s Kitchen and other undisclosed investors, according to PitchBook. The Pittsburgh company, led by Peter DeComo, has raised more than $110 million since it was founded in 1997.
The business manufactures a lung assist device designed to provide artificial lung technology for patients with respiratory failure. The company’s device is designed to remove carbon dioxide from and deliver oxygen to a patient’s blood independently of his or her lungs, enabling patients to avoid mechanical ventilator.
