Aramark, a food, facilities management and uniforms company, has acquired privately-held Good Uncle, an app-based on-demand food delivery service that brings meals to pick-up points around college campuses. The addition of this concierge service to the Aramark portfolio furthers the company’s commitment to advancing innovation through culinary-and technology-driven solutions.
“As consumer dining habits evolve, we’re continually looking for new ways to disrupt the marketplace with innovative services,” said Aramark’s Chairman, President and CEO Eric J. Foss. “Good Uncle strengthens our ability to offer quality and convenience through services that allow our college consumers to order restaurant-quality food and have it delivered when and where they want it on campus.”
Good Uncle will operate independently, maintaining its unique brand identity. The acquisition complements Aramark’s standing as an industry leader in campus dining, serving more than 400 campuses across the U.S.
