Carnegie Learning, a Pittsburgh learning technology company, has agreed to sell Paradigm Education Solutions, a post-secondary provider of print and digital learning solutions, to Kendall Hunt Publishing Co., a Dubuque, Iowa, provider of educational products and services focused on the higher education market. The deal will allow Carnegie Learning to narrow its focus.

In 2018, Carnegie Learning merged with New Mountain Learning, which included EMC School, a provider of blended learning resources and services for 6-12 world languages and English language arts, and Paradigm Education Solutions. The divestiture is consistent with Carnegie Learning’s goal of becoming an organization focused solely on supporting primary and secondary teachers and educating K-12 students across the country.

Carnegie Learning, born from powerful research and technology from Carnegie Mellon University, is a portfolio company of CIP Capital, a New York-based PE firm focused on investing in growth-oriented, middle-market companies across the business information and technology-enabled services sectors in North America.
