Gibsonia-based Gateway Analytical was acquired by AptarGroup Inc. of suburban Chicago.
Aptar bought Gateway with another pharmaceutical services company, Nanopharm Ltd., for a combined value of approximately $50 million. The acquisitions are part of Aptar’s strategy to broaden its portfolio of services.
Gateway, a leader in particulate detection and analysis for the injectables market, will complement Aptar’s existing laboratory and analytical services by bringing additional value to customers as they navigate the challenging regulatory landscape and seek to bring their products to market faster.
