Pittsburgh’s GT Entrepreneurs has closed its third deal, as Gabriel Chick, a GTE operator-in-residence, has completed the final paperwork to acquire Service-Tech Corp., a Cleveland-based HVAC and industrial cleaning company.
GTE is a private investment firm that works with entrepreneurial operators-in-residence looking to acquire, operate and grow privately held businesses.
STC was founded in 1960 and has seven regional offices in Ohio, Michigan and Florida. Chick will be moving to Cleveland and assuming the role of president with the support of the previous owner, who plans to consult for the business. The newly formed STC acquisition company has hired all existing employees and plans to provide the same service and products.
Chick has served in various positions and worked in locations throughout the U.S. with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Prior to his time at GTE, he served as a U.S. Army Officer for several years leading units ranging in size of four to 40. After his service, Gabriel decided to pursue an MBA at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business.
