Hub International Ltd. has acquired Insurance Center of New England Inc., one of the largest locally owned, independent insurance agencies in New England. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
ICNE, with locations in Agawam and Gardner, Massachusetts, provides insurance solutions for personal insurance, business insurance and group employee benefits.
"ICNE will expand our presence in western Massachusetts and build on Hub's core strengths in property and casualty, employee benefits and personal lines solutions," said Timm Marini, President of Personal Lines, Hub New England, in a statement.
ICNE President and CEO Bill Trudeau will join Hub New England and report to Marini. Based in Chicago, Hub is a global insurance broker providing property and casualty, life and health, employee benefits, investment and risk management products and services. The company seeks opportunities to grow organically and through acquisitions to expand its geographic footprint and strengthen industry and product expertise.
