Legrand, North and Central America, has completed its acquisition of the Canonsburg manufacturer Universal Electric Corp. for an undisclosed amount. UEC products for electrical power distributing in data centers will complement the French industrial group’s other brands.

UEC is now part of LNCA’s data, power and control division. The company has two divisions: Starline Track Busway and U-S Safety Trolley.

Founded in 1924, UEC has more than 450 employees and has turned a profit every year since its inception, according to Data Centre Dynamics Ltd.
