Investment manager Northern Trust Asset Management is set to acquire Belvedere Advisors LLC, which owns Emotomy, an open-architecture digital investment advice platform designed for financial professionals.
“This strategic acquisition reaffirms our commitment to partnering with the financial advisor community to deeply understand their needs and provide best-in-class investment solutions and technology to help them serve their clients more efficiently and effectively,” Northern Trust Asset Management President Shundrawn Thomas said.
Upon completion of the acquisition, Belvedere Advisors will operate as an independent, wholly owned subsidiary of Northern Trust Investments Inc., Northern Trust Asset Management’s primary SEC registered investment adviser.
The acquisition is expected to close by year’s end.
