Stone Canyon Industries Holdings LLC’s SCI Rail Holdings LLC has — through its subsidiary, A. Stucki Company in Moon, Pennsylvania — has acquired Salco Products Inc. The acquisition of Salco, which is based in a Chicago suburb, broadens SCI Rail’s freight car product offering and expands its customer reach.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Salco supplies circular hatch covers to the North American freight car industry, along with valves for tank cars and metal- and plastic-based components used in various types of hopper cars, tank cars and over-the-road trailers. Salco also provides of certain corrosive resistant parts for plant processing equipment.

Under the continued leadership of Salco’s management team, the company will continue to operate out of its facilities in Lemont, Illinois, and Houston, Texas, and keep operating under the Salco name.
