Westinghouse Electric Co. has acquired Inspection Consultants Limited, a U.K.-based provider of inspection services. This acquisition strengthens Westinghouse’s ability to support its existing operating nuclear fleet, as well as in-service inspection customers outside of the nuclear industry.

The deal expands Westinghouse’s plant inspection services capabilities and enhances the company’s ability to respond to customer’s emergent inspection and repair needs across Europe.

For more than 25 years, InCon has provided the full range of non-destructive testing services to customers in a variety of industries. InCon’s facilities in Ellesmere Port and Weston Super Mare will be acquired as part of the transaction.

Cranberry Township-headquartered Westinghouse supplies nuclear plant products and technologies to utilities throughout the world. Westinghouse technology is the basis for approximately half of the world’s operating nuclear plants.
