Associated Banc-Corp closed its acquisition of the Wisconsin branch banking operations of The Huntington National Bank. The deal, announced in December, reported that Associated Bank, N.A. would acquire approximately $850 million in deposits, $134 million in loans and 32 branch locations, for approximately $34 million, representing approximately 4 percent of the deposits.

The transaction expands Associated’s presence into 13 additional Wisconsin communities, and all Huntington branches have reopened as Associated branches and ATMs.

Headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Associated Banc-Corp now has nearly $34 billion in assets and 230 banking locations that serve more than 110 communities in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota, as well as commercial financial services in Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio and Texas. It is one of the top 50 publicly traded U.S. bank holding companies.
