Insurance Technologies Corp. has acquired Smart Harbor, a provider of digital technology solutions to insurance agents, which was owned by The Shipyard, a Columbus digital marketing agency. The acquisition will help the Dallas-area provider of websites, marketing, comparative rating and management software and services expand its service offerings.
Smart Harbor works with more than 1,000 independent insurance agencies, bringing them technical expertise and industry knowledge to help them grow their businesses and retain clients through websites, smart forms, SEO and data analytics capabilities.
Together, the two companies will serve more than 25 percent of independent insurance agencies in the U.S.
“ITC is a great culture match for Smart Harbor because of their mutual commitment to and passion for helping insurance agents improve their online presence to grow their business,” The Shipyard CEO Rick Milenthal said, in a statement.
The sale does not include any of the other marketing services operations of The Shipyard.
