Core Real Estate Capital, a Columbus PE real estate firm, has partnered with Emerald Hospitality Associates and Nimbus Investment Fund, to acquire the Hilton Garden Inn Wallingford/Meriden, Connecticut hotel.

Northeast Ohio-based Emerald Hospitality Associates, a full-service hotel management and development company will manage the hotel. The asset fits in with its overall strategy of high quality, premium branded hotels in thriving potential-filled markets. The transaction is Emerald Hospitality’s 10th Hilton Garden, which brings its portfolio to nearly 30 hotels, including those in development or under construction.

Founded in 2001, Core Real Estate Capital has more than $1 billion in real estate under management in the multifamily, senior living, medical office and hotel sectors.

The Cleveland-based Nimbus Investment Fund, an independent affiliate of Emerald Hospitality, was founded in 2011 to provide an investment vehicle for investors within the hotel space.
