IMC Companies, an intermodal logistics business, has acquired Worthington-headquartered TRANSInternational System. The acquisition enhances the Memphis, Tennessee-based company’s existing national footprint.

With 200 TRANSInternational System owner operators joining the team, the acquisition significantly increases IMC Companies’ truck capacity and solidifies its position as the largest marine drayage company in the U.S. More specifically, acquiring TRANSInternational System significantly bolsters IMC Companies’ presence in the Ohio Valley.

IMC Companies will be merging TRANSInternational System’s operations into Ohio Intermodal Services, Intermodal Cartage Co., DNJ Intermodal Services and Atlantic Intermodal Services.

IMC Companies serves its customers via nine brands including Atlantic Intermodal Services, DNJ Intermodal Services, Gulf Intermodal Services, H&M Intermodal, IMC Chassis Services, Intermodal Cartage Co., Ohio Intermodal Services, Pacific Drayage Services and Progressive Transportation Services.
