Ohio Transmission Corp., an industrial equipment service provider and distributor headquartered in Columbus, has acquired Keller Electrical. The transaction expands OTC’s footprint into the Southwest.

Headquartered in Phoenix, Keller Electrical maintains a sales and field service office in Tucson, Arizona, and has field service capabilities spanning the Southwest and Mexico.

“This further expands our regional footprint into the southwestern United States and adds almost 120 new associates to our OTC family,” OTC President and CEO Philip Derrow said, in a statement. “We are humbled to have the opportunity to provide a great new home for them.”

Keller Electrical, founded in 1982 with 11 employees, provides industrial electrical services, equipment, components and supplies. Its customers represent a range of industries, including water and wastewater, mining, aggregate and cement, power generation, agriculture and manufacturing industries.

Keller’s capabilities and geographic location should complement OTC’s Crimson Electric motor repair facility in South Carolina and provide a more complete service offering for all of OTC’s customers.

Keller Electrical will continue to operate under its name and with current local management, including Cody Eslick, senior vice president of operations, and Jim Everson, senior vice president and CFO, both of whom will continue to lead the team. As a division of OTP Industrial Solutions, Keller Electrical will have access to OTC’s product and service offerings and resources.

With this acquisition, OTC now has 46 locations throughout the Southwest, South, Southeast, Midwest and Northeast regions, along with 22 service shops. The addition of the Keller associates expands OTC’s existing workforce to about 1,200 employees.
