Columbus-based OPENonline, a provider of employment background checks and investigative services, has been acquired by Universal Background Screening of Scottsdale, Ariz. Terms were not disclosed.
"The synergy was compelling," Universal CEO Dan Filby said in a statement. "Both companies are members of the select 6% of background screening providers that are accredited by the Professional Background Screening Association, and both companies are deeply committed to providing an outstanding experience for our customers."
This is the fourth acquisition for Universal in the background screening industry. It is a portfolio company of SNH Capital Partners, middle-market PE firm.
