The acquisition of Cleveland’s SoundCom Systems by AMETEK Inc. is complete. SoundCom has been a value-added reseller for AMETEK Rauland's mission-critical health care communication workflow solutions in Ohio and Michigan.

It joins AMETEK as part of its Electronic Instruments Group, which works in advanced analytical, monitoring, testing, calibrating and display instruments and has annualized sales of $2.9 billion.

"SoundCom is an excellent acquisition for AMETEK given its 40-year history as a valued business partner to Rauland," AMETEK Chairman and CEO David A. Zapico said in a statement. "The acquisition expands Rauland's presence in the attractive health care and education markets in the Midwest while providing our customers with expanded value-added solutions and services."

SoundCom, a designer of clinical workflow and communication systems for health care facilities, educational institutions and corporations, was a privately held company with annual sales around $40 million.
