Canton’s Day Ketterer law firm has merged with Akron’s Goldman & Rosen, giving Day Ketterer an Akron office and six additional lawyers. “We wanted a firm with deep roots in the Akron market,” Robert E. Roland, managing partner for Day Ketterer, told The Canton Repository. Goldman & Rosen will maintain its office near downtown Akron, but will begin operating as Day Ketterer. The merger took effect Monday. Roland told The Canton Repository that Day Ketterer has been seeking a partner in Akron for about five years. The Canton firm has a number of clients in Akron and Summit County and has wanted to grow in the market. The challenge has been finding the right firm with which to align. Day Ketterer has maintained an office in Hudson for about 10 years and also has a Youngstown office. The firm has 45 lawyers practicing from the three locations.
