Everstream has completed its purchase of a 200-plus-mile Indianapolis-based fiber network and CLEC operation from DataBank, a provider of enterprise-class data center, connectivity and managed services. The fiber network and CLEC assets originally owned by LightBound were purchased by DataBank.

The purchase is part of Everstream’s strategy to provide reliable, high-bandwidth connectivity to enterprises in the Indianapolis metro area and throughout the Midwest. With the deal’s close, Everstream is immediately able to provide connectivity in more than 75 lit buildings in Indianapolis, as well as the western suburbs of Avon, Brownsburg and Plainfield.

“The acquisition of LightBound’s fiber assets have given us a tremendous head start in delivering reliable, high-performance connectivity to Indianapolis area businesses,” Everstream President and CEO Brett Lindsey said in a statement. “We are now able to provide these organizations with direct access to our more than 13,000 miles of fiber and connections to dozens of data centers throughout the Midwest.”
