Elyria’s Geisel Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing Inc. has been acquired by HomeServe USA, a Norwalk, Conn.-based residential HVAC provider.
The Geisel acquisition, which includes offices in Oberlin and Medina, represents HomeServe’s latest step in capturing a bigger piece of the estimated $29 billion HVAC industry.
“We’ve decided to join forces with HomeServe (because) they offer top-notch customer service and have technology tools that will help us deliver a better experience not only to our customers, but to homeowners throughout the Greater Cleveland area,” Geisel President Andy Culberson said in a statement.
HomeServe has operated in the Greater Cleveland area since 2006, where it serves 158,000 homeowners with more than 300,000 various repair service plans across various trades. However, only 41,000 of those are HVAC-related plans.
