Health care staffing provider Health Carousel has acquired the assets of Locum Medical Group, a Cleveland-based organization that’s a part of Randstad Holding NV. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Locum Medical Group will operate under the NEXTLocums brand moving forward. “We are thrilled to welcome Locum Medical Group into the Health Carousel family,” said Bill DeVille, CEO of Health Carousel, in a statement. “This is a wonderful opportunity for our team in Cleveland to be a part of an organization focused on the locum tenens industry,” said Abigail Tremble, president of Randstad Healthcare, in a statement. “We remain committed to continuing our relationships with our facility partners to ensure continuity of care for the patients we serve every day. We have an existing business relationship with Health Carousel and look forward to continuing to partner in the future.” Last year, Health Carousel acquired Columbus-based Medical Staffing Options, a travel nurse staffing provider, and is the parent company of international health care staffing business PassportUSA; nurse travel staffing business Health Carousel Travel Network; and locum tenens company NEXTLocums. It ranks No. 17 on Staffing Industry Analyst’s list of the largest health care staffing firms in the U.S. with $181 million in 2017 U.S. health care temporary staffing revenue.
