MobilityWorks, the nation's largest retailer of wheelchair accessible vans, has acquired Mentor’s M.C. Mobility Systems Inc.
The acquisition will add four locations to MobilityWorks' three existing locations in Ohio. Following the acquisition, MobilityWorks will operate 78 total locations in 24 states.
"We look forward to having M.C. Mobility Systems become a part of our family," MobilityWorks President Eric Mansfield said in a statement. "We expect a smooth transition and are excited to continue to serve the community."
M.C. Mobility Systems and MobilityWorks have been market leaders in the wheelchair accessible van industry for more than 20 years. In addition to selling new and pre-owned modified vans for wheelchair accessibility, the companies also provide rental vans and adaptive equipment such as hand controls, turning seats and scooter lifts.
