Cleveland venture capital and private equity firm MPE Partners has acquired Cantrell, a Gainesville, Georgia-based manufacturer of equipment and systems for the poultry processing industry.
- Cantrell will join Gainco, a division of MPE's portfolio company, Birmingham, Ohio-based Bettcher Industries Inc., to form a leading national provider of poultry processing equipment and parts.
- Cantrell’s General Manager of Sales Dane Woods and General Manager of Finance/Operations Tony Rice will remain as general managers when the companies merge.
- BakerHostetler served as legal adviser to MPE on the deal.
