Mayfield Village-based Skoda Minotti has agreed to merge with New York-based Marcum LLP on Dec. 1, according to a story posted at insidepublicaccounting.com. This would follow Marcum’s merger with Nashville-based CPA Consulting Group PLLC of Nashville, which took effect Nov. 1.

Marcum is one of the largest independent public accounting and advisory services firms in the nation, with offices in major business markets throughout the U.S., as well as Grand Cayman, China and Ireland. Both Skoda Minotti and Marcum are members of the Leading Edge Alliance, one of the largest associations of independent accounting firms in the world.

The firm’s chairman, Gregory J. Skoda, could not be reached for comment.

In June, Skoda Minotti announced it would lease approximately 10,000 square feet of office space in downtown Cleveland on the eighth floor of the Fifth Third Center at 600 Superior Avenue. The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a six-year, 1.2 percent Job Creation Tax Credit to support the move, which was expected to create more than 20 full-time jobs at the new location.
