Solon-based Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics’ Life Sciences business has acquired the pharmaceutical business of Dublin, Ireland’s Micro Hydraulics Ltd.

“The acquisition of the Micro Hydraulics Pharma business is a continuation of our long-term strategy to expand our service and product offerings while increasing our localized presence for our customers,” Steve Maddox, general manager of the Saint-Gobain Life Sciences business, said in a statement.

Micro Hydraulics is a supplier and manufacturer of single-use components and systems for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries. The hydraulic and industrial divisions of the business are not affected by the transaction.
