Sequoia Financial Group has completed its acquisition of LJPR Financial Advisors. The merger, announced in August 2018, grows Sequoia Financial Group's staff from 66 to 91 employees and expands Sequoia's presence in Michigan.

AKRON, Ohio, Jan. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — Effective January 1, Sequoia Financial Group, a wealth management firm serving private, institutional and corporate clients in the Midwest and Southern U.S., announced that it completed the acquisition of the previously announced partnership with LJPR Financial Advisors, a fee-only financial advisory and wealth management firm headquartered in Troy, Michigan.

With the close of the merger, Sequoia Financial Group’s staff grew from 66 to 91 employees. Tom Haught will continue as President of Sequoia Financial Group and Leon LaBrecque, former Managing Partner and CEO of LJPR Financial Advisors, transitioned to his new role as Chief Growth Officer of Sequoia Financial Group.
