Align Capital Partners’ fire and life safety platform, Protegis Fire & Safety, has acquired Tampa-based Florida Fire Service. Florida Fire provides fire alarm, sprinkler, and extinguisher inspection/repair services, along with service and installation. As a result of Protegis’s continued growth, the company now employs nearly 350 fire protection technicians across the country.
Family-owned and operated, Florida Fire has been providing a line of fire and life safety services to commercial and government properties in Western Florida for over 20 years.
ACP’s initial investment in the Protegis platform came via the acquisition of ISA in 2017 and Florida Fire is Protegis’s third add-on acquisition since 2018. “Florida Fire serves as a great anchor for Protegis as we look to expand our footprint in Florida,” ACP Managing Partner Steve Dyke said in a statement.
Protegis is actively seeking fire and life safety service providers in Florida and across the U.S. who are interested in exploring their next phase of growth. Companies of all sizes could be a potential fit as Protegis continues to expand its national footprint and service capabilities, according to a news release.
Operating Partner John Dupuy, Vice President Jack Parks and Associate Bill Zaccardelli worked alongside Dyke on the transaction.
