Great Day Improvements LLC, a residential remodeling company best known for its sunroom and window brands Patio Enclosures and Stanek Windows, has acquired Hartshorn Custom Contracting Inc., a Tampa, Fla.-based company specializing in the custom manufacturing and installation of screen enclosures for pools, lanais and patios.

Great Day Improvements Chairman Ed Weinfurtner is a dealmaker who likes to get his hands dirty.
Hartshorn custom designs and custom manufactures its pool and screen enclosure products at their Tampa facility, while Great Day Improvements will continue to custom manufacture its Patio Enclosures and Stanek Windows products at its Macedonia facility.
Operating two manufacturing facilities in different parts of the country, each with their own specialties, will create additional opportunities for the company as it continues to grow geographically.
Growth through acquisition is part of a long-term business plan for the company.

In the last five years, Great Day has doubled in size and footprint, expanding its presence to 27 metropolitan markets throughout the Midwest and Northeastern United States and is ranked as one of the Top 25 largest residential remodeling companies in the country, according to Qualified Remodeler Magazine.
