Hinkley Lighting Inc., a designer and distributor of decorative lighting, is acquiring Regency Ceiling Fans and related assets from Tacony Corp., which will continue to focus on its core business of floor care and sewing products.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
St. Louis-based Regency will join Hinkley Lighting at its headquarters in Avon Lake, where Hinkley brands will continue to operate as is. Distribution channels will not change and facilities will remain in place.
“We had been looking for a strategic partner with the necessary resources and expertise to help take Regency to the next level," Tacony CEO Kristi Tacony Humes said in a statement.
Hinkley Lighting Vice President Eric Wiedemer said, “By widening our indoor and outdoor product offering through the fan category, we create a more connected and cohesive brand experience for our showrooms and the consumer.”
Hinkley's line of brand portfolio of Hinkley Lighting and Fredrick Ramond is used by homeowners, designers, contractors and light commercial specifiers.
