Hyland’s acquisition of the OneContent business from Allscripts is officially complete, bringing OneContent's associates and its 350 customers into the Cleveland software company’s fold.
The deal, announced back in February, deepens Hyland's portfolio of health care solutions, a core focus for the company, complementing its existing suite of content and image management solutions.
"The addition of OneContent will further our mission of empowering health care providers by informing critical decision-making and simplify information access and insight,” Hyland President and CEO Bill Priemer said in a statement. “We're eager to bring that dedication to our new OneContent customers."
Hyland said it will work with Allscripts to both support and enhance OneContent customers' current solutions, adding new features and functionality, refining the integration with Allscripts' Paragon EHR system and leveraging the complementary capabilities of the Hyland Healthcare suite.
Formerly known as Horizon Patient Folders and recently acquired by Allscripts from McKesson, OneContent is primarily supported by a team that remains based in Alpharetta, Georgia.
