MI Windows and Doors, a manufacturer of windows and doors, is set to buy the Milgard Windows and Doors division of Livonia, Michigan-based Masco Corp. The transaction, which is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2019, is expected to position MI Windows & Doors for nearly $1 billion in annual window and door sales.
MI Windows and Doors' purchase of Milgard is expected to expand its operations, giving it a stronger position in fenestration products, especially in the growing vinyl windows and patio doors product segments. The acquisition is also expected to enhance MI Windows and Doors' ability to supply many of the West's fast-growing local construction markets.
