MRI Software is at it again with last week’s acquisition of CML Software, a UK provider of real estate solutions that expands MRI’s residential offerings for its rapidly growing business across the Atlantic.

The announcement comes on the heels of MRI’s acquisition of South African property software provider PropSys, which was announced on July 4. Each of these acquisitions strengthens MRI’s standing in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, albeit on different continents and in different ways.

The addition of CML follows the acquisitions of Real Asset Management in September 2017, Qube Global Software in October 2017 and the launch of a UK-focused version of its MRI Residential Suite last month. The CML deal will add additional top-tier agency market names into the MRI client base, strengthening the organization’s position as the largest commercial real estate software provider in EMEA, serving more than 2,500 clients in the region.

Acquiring PropSys — MRI’s second South African acquisition, following MDA Property Systems in December 2017 — cements MRI’s position as South Africa’s market share leader for commercial real estate software and solidifies its position as one of the largest players in the African continent and the Middle East.

MRI has now made five acquisitions in the EMEA region and nine acquisitions overall since September 2017. “We are very pleased to welcome CML to the MRI Software family of companies,” said Dermot Briody, executive managing director for Europe at MRI. “CML’s software for residential agencies and portfolio management rounds out MRI’s comprehensive offering for the diverse UK residential market. Further, CML adds flagship clients to MRI’s extensive roster and further enhances our team of experts on the ground in the United Kingdom."
