Oldcastle APG has completed its $1.9 billion acquisition of Middleburg Heights-based Barrette Outdoor Living, a manufacturer of fencing, railing, outdoor accents and related products.

Atlanta-based Oldcastle, which is owned by CRH Company, also owns other manufacturers in the outdoor living and building materials space.

Founded in 1975, Barrette Outdoor Living operates 10 manufacturing facilities and four distribution sites across North America. The company previously sold a majority stake to Canadian PE firms TorQuest Partners and Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec in November 2020 for an undisclosed amount.

“We are thrilled to join the Oldcastle APG family, whose commitment to delivering high-quality products to customers aligns with ours,” Barrette CEO Jean desAutels said in a statement. “I am extremely proud of what we have achieved thus far, and I believe Oldcastle APG will continue to grow our business from here.”
