Cleveland-based Snip Internet closed a $7.75 million Series B venture round led by Peppertree Capital Management, according to PitchBook.

The internet service provider also received backing from Imperial Court Investments, Weinberg Capital and Limelight Partners to help fund its expansion into Milwaukee and Columbus.

Snip Internet was founded by Brett Lindsey, CEO of Cleveland-based Everstream, a provider of fiber-optics communications networks for business.  It specializes in serving apartment buildings in downtown Cleveland, Tremont, Ohio City and University Circle, according to the company's website.

Everstream recently announced its own plans to invest $250 million in the buildout of its own fiber optic network.
