SportsTime Ohio and Fox Sport Ohio are being acquired by Sinclair Broadcast Group as Walt Disney Co. is being forced by the U.S. Department of Justice to shed some of the television properties it bought in its $72 billion takeover of 21st Century Fox.
According to reports, the two Ohio sports channels, which televise Cavs, Indians, Blue Jackets and Reds games along with college and high schools sports, are being bought by Sinclair for $9.6 billion. The channels are expected to be rebranded.
