Cleveland-based Sweeping Corp. of America, the largest power sweeping company in the U.S., is set to be acquired by Warburg Pincus. The private equity firm will acquire the company from the previous investor, Soundcore Capital Partners. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The investment is expected to accelerate SCA’s sales and marketing efforts and help the company identify strategic relationships and acquisition opportunities.

With over 1,000 employees in its 35 locations throughout the eastern half of the U.S., the company's key services include street and highway sweeping, parking lot sweeping, and jet vac services. Customers served include municipalities, state departments of transportation, commercial, infrastructure, and construction clients.

Christopher Valerian, President & CEO, SCA, said in a statement that the partnership will enable the company to further expand service capacity, fuel continued innovation in complimentary services, and support key growth initiatives, with a focus on strategic acquisitions.
