Tucker Ellis LLP partners Chris Hewitt and Jayne Juvan represented Eagle Specialty Materials LLC in its purchase of the Eagle Butte and Belle Ayr thermal coal mines located in the Powder River Basin in Campbell County, Wyoming, from Contura Energy Inc. and Blackjewel LLC.
The first phase of the transaction was completed in October 2019. On May 29, the parties completed the final phase of the purchase. Hewitt and Juvan advised ESM on the merger, which brings the transaction to a close with a positive result for the companies and the many stakeholders involved, a news release states.
