Cleveland-based law firm Walter | Haverfield has acquired Hurtuk & Daroff Co., LLP, a Cleveland real estate and finance law firm with a nationwide practice and wide-ranging client base. Separately, Walter | Haverfield purchased Nardone Limited, a tax planning and business services law firm headquartered in Columbus. The acquisitions are part of a strategic initiative to expand Walter | Haverfield’s presence in Ohio and deepen the firm’s expertise in key practice areas.
Hurtuk & Daroff’s Ed Hurtuk will be partner-in-charge of the Mayfield Heights office and a member of the Walter | Haverfield executive committee. Hurtuk & Daroff, which has seven attorneys, has developed a substantial presence in local and national real estate transactions.
Nardone Limited, founded and led by Vince Nardone, is a business services law firm with a nationwide specialty in buying and selling dental practices. The firm also represents clients in matters related to tax and succession planning, employment issues and professional practice transitions. Nardone will be partner-in-charge of the Columbus office and a member of the firm’s executive committee.
Walter | Haverfield, one of the 10 largest law firms based in Cleveland, has experienced significant growth over the past several years. Since 2017, the firm has increased its number of attorneys by 30 percent and gained more than 1,300 new clients. The acquisition of Hurtuk & Daroff and Nardone Limited brings the total number of attorneys at the firm to nearly 90, allowing Walter | Haverfield to better serve the needs of both the Cleveland and Columbus markets.
