Cleveland-based WTWH Media today is acquiring the robotics division of Framingham, Mass.-based EH Media.
The acquired assets, which include Robotics Business Review, a website focused on the global robotics and intelligent systems sector, and the RoboBusiness Conference and Exposition, a leading annual robotics business-to-business conference which first ran in 2004, will become incorporated into WTWH Media’s network of robotics websites, magazines, newsletters, events and research.
“Both RoboBusiness and Robotics Business Review are globally recognized, highly respected robotics media brands of long standing, and the acquisition itself could not have come at a better time,” said Dan Kara, vice president of robotics at WTWH Media, in a statement. “The robotics sector has been expanding at a rapid rate for more than a decade, but as the recent upsurge in robotics investments and company launches clearly indicate, we are truly at a major inflection point at this time. With the addition of RoboBusiness and Robotics Business Review, WTWH Media becomes a global robotics media powerhouse.”
Scott McCafferty, co-founder & managing director of WTWH Media, added: “The addition of the RoboBusiness Conference & Exposition and Robotics Business Review will strengthen WTWH Media’s robotics portfolio tremendously, allowing us to better serve the entire robotics value chain of end-users, engineers and OEMs, researchers, investors and more. Dan Kara launched RoboBusiness and Robotics Business Review, and as such he is perfectly positioned to reinvigorate them, as well as integrate these high value assets into WTWH Media’s existing robotics and intelligent systems business lines.”
