Fairview Park-based WXZ Development Co. has purchased The Ferry Cap & Set Screw Co. complex on the Scranton Peninsula in Cleveland's Flats.

Sources report that the approximately 180,000 square-foot property sold for $900,000 to WXZ, headed by President and CEO Jim Wymer, a developer known for apartment and townhouse projects.

The peninsula is gaining popularity with developers. Earlier this month, Great Lakes Brewing Co. purchased eight acres on Scranton Peninsula along Carter Road for a potential expansion project.
